Baby's Room (Post 3 of 3)

Lately I have been in the "nesting" mood as they call it in the What to Expect book. I have been trying to get the baby's room all finished. I still have some stuff left to do, furniture to move in, and pictures to hang on the wall, but it looks pretty good so far.

I've done a few projects as well for his room. The first one I bought some wooden letters and toys from the craft store and painted them dark blue,  a lighter green, and brown. It was fun and a way to spend my time. Here's the finished pieces. Eventually we'll put his name on the wall. Oh also we've decided to name him Ryder Keith.

This is a picture of his vibrating bounce chair that we got from someone in our parents ward. I love getting things so we don't have to buy them, it's very convenient. The mat next to it I made out of foam puzzle pieces I also found at the craft store and placed together to form a small play mat. It will probably be a while until he'll be big enough to use it as a play mat, but for now it adds some color.
We also got this swing from the same family, along with a car seat, it'll be nice to have this to place him in while I clean the house or make dinner.
This is his crib all ready for him with the mattress and blankets. We were never able to find a cute inexpensive crib set so we are just using blankets, but it still looks cute. We are so excited for our sweet baby. He is due on Wednesday, but could come any day.
I apologize that the lighting in the pictures is so poor, it was very bright in the room and difficult to get the lighting right. I need to work more on my photography skills.

Our new place. . . (Post 2 of 3)

It sure has been a very long time since I've updated the blog. I apologize. We have had a lot going on and are finally settled down a bit, for the time being. We currently are living up in Cache Valley, and we LOVE it! We live in a two bedroom townhouse, they were built in November and are very nice. Here are a few pictures of our place. We are still trying to get it set up completely and when it is all finished we'll post more picture.

This is our kitchen table. It was Logan's Mom's and we are getting to use it. It's nice to have a table.
A picture of part of our kitchen. Logan is getting dinner ready. This day we had Mom and Dad Henderson and Laura, Alex, and Graham over for dinner.
We have 1.5 bathrooms in our place. This is a picture of the half bath, its just off the kitchen by our back door.
Logan got me this for Christmas. We are going to put it in our second bedroom above. . .
Our crib. We are having a baby boy. He is due on Wednesday. We love this crib, it has a changing table attached. It is one of those cribs that is a 4-in-1 set. It can change from a crib, to a toddler bed, to a daybed, and then to a full. It also came with a hamper and has the trundle drawer underneath for extra storage. We got the crib at Target for a really good deal.

Fishing (Post 1 of 3)

So I have never really been fishing before and since we are now living in Cache Valley, Logan has decided to take me fishing a lot. This day we got up at 3:45 AM to go fishing at Porcupine Reservoir which is located in Avon, about a 45 min drive south of our home. We didn't have any luck there so at about 1:00 in the afternoon we went over to First Dam, just down the street from campus. By this time I was pretty skeptical that fish even existed since this was our sixth attempt of fishing and still we hadn't caught any fish, but when we arrived we saw some guys catching fish, so we knew they were there. So we set up our chairs and got ready to catch some fish. It had been a long day but after about being at the new spot for about 30-45 mins, I FINALLY CAUGHT A FISH!!
It was very exciting. It was only a little fish, but still my very first fish. Here's the lucky fish. . .
Later on Memorial Day we were down in Payson for Logan's grandpa's 75th Birthday and decided to go fishing again. This day we only woke up at 6:00 AM and went to Payson Canyon. Again we didn't have any luck, so later after the party we stopped off at Salem Pond to do some small fishing. But amazingly we caught a lot of fish this day. This is a picture of me catching TWO, count them, two fish on the same fishing pole. It was so cool!
These are our little ducklings at First Dam. They are our buds, whenever we go there to fish they always come swim over by us. I have grown very fond of them. There were originally eight of them, but after about two weeks there were only five left. We don't know what happened to those three ducklings, but we like to think that they were adopted, not another thing.
So fuzzy and so super cute!
